Are you confident assessing and treating TMJ when a client presents with neck pain or headaches? - Do you routinely ask questions about your clients last dental visit? - Are you using the vestibulo and cervico ocular reflex to do segmental cervical spine extensor and flexor strengthening? - Know when a referral is necessary for consideration of a night splint, to assist in resolving their cervical spine symptoms? - Using neural testing to identify if the TMJ and C/Sp is contributing to your clients upper or lower limb pain? In this course you will gain the skill and confidence to treat TMJ disorders, headaches, whiplash injuries and neck pain. This is an excellent course if you want to broaden your referral base from dentists, prosthodontists and other similar health care professionals. A functional anatomy review of the temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) is covered, as well as muscle, joint, neural and exercise techniques to assess and treat the TMJ. You will be introduced to cranial techniques, and shown how these can be used to improve overall neural mobility, as well as to treat TMJ disorders, headaches, whiplash injury and other musculoskeletal problems. Integrating TMJ and cranial techniques to treat cervical spine conditions will complete the course.
